Overview

Bansko, once a community mainly of stockbreeders and traveling traders, has become an international center of winter and summer tourism. The mountain tops near the city, the numerous lakes and the age-old pine forests make it a popular area for recreation. Bulgaria’s share of European winter tourism is growing steadily and Bansko is increasingly competing with ski resorts in France and Switzerland for relatively low cost, but not quality.

Accommodation – Children

  • Prices are for accommodation of two or more adults in a room – apartment
  • Single charge 50%
  • Children up to 2 years free (no guaranteed seat on the bus)
  • Children 2-11 years 50% discount (accommodation in a room with at least 2 adults).

Travel – Route

  • Seats on buses are guaranteed but not numbered. (In case you want a specific place please at the meeting point and before departure to inform about this escort who will try to take care of it)
  • You must be at the meeting point 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time
  • Pick-up of excursionists during the trip is done from predetermined points. From any other point it is done only with prior consultation and from a point that meets the conditions for safe boarding
  • Stops take place in Lamia, Korinos, Promachonas border

Travel documents

  • You must have your valid travel documents (Greek identity card or passport in force) with you on departure. If you do not have the necessary documents with you, it is not possible to cross the border
  • For foreign citizens we can advise what are the necessary documents for crossing the border but it is their sole responsibility to verify it themselves with the competent authorities. Day 1

Gathering last night at 23:30 and departure, short stops in Lamia and Platamonas. Crossing the border of Promachonas around 08:30 in the morning and a short stop at the duty free store for discount purchases. We continue to Bansko through a beautiful route at the foot of Mount Pirin. Arrival at 12:00 and settling in the rooms. Appointment at 13:30 for a group meal at the brand new Flower Stone. Free time for rest. In the evening our first outing at the club ZERO (appointment 23:30 at the reception to go as a group by bus).

Day 2

After breakfast those who wish can visit the ski resort, board from the Gondola (starting point) ticket 28 lev (student 25). To rent skis, contact the tour leaders (10 € / day). Return to the hotel for relaxation in the spa center with many options of relaxation and wellness (swimming in the heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, massage etc.). Night out for the big central party in Bansko at the HAPPY END club. Appointment at the hotel reception 23:30.

Day 3

Early breakfast and 09:00 appointments for departure for our optional trip to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The 2,5 hour drive will fascinate you, while there after guided to the main monuments we will have free time on the main pedestrian street for walks and shopping. The rest can explore the beauties of Bansko and explore its picturesque cobbled streets with beautiful traditional houses and hot cafes or visit the ski resort again and relax in the spas. In the evening last group outing at the club JACK’S HOUSE. (Appointment 23:30 reception to go as a group with the coach).

Day 4

Breakfast and check out. Departure at 11:00 for the Greek-Bulgarian border and then to Athens where after short stops we will arrive in the evening at 23:00.
