The Cathedral of Milan is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. Its construction began in 1386 but it took about 500 years to complete. 135 towers and 3,200 statues that you can admire by climbing the elevator or the stairs. Piazza del Duomo is the heart of Milan’s historic center. There you will also see a statue of Vittorio Emanuele, the old royal palace, the Duomo Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Castle Sforzesco is located near the city center. Inside the castle you can see various objects, but also architectural details of the last sculpture of Michael Angelos. The most famous museums are the “Museum of Art and Science”, which includes exhibits on the life of Da Vinci, the Di Castello Gallery and the sculpture gallery Civiche Raccolte d’Arte Antica.
If you are tired of walking in shops and museums and want to take a walk, choose one of the parks in the city. We recommend the Sempione Park and the Giardini Pubblici Gardens. In this huge park, you can do various activities or just sit on the grass.
